Get to know our new colleagues—Tiina Husso, Iippo Reponen, Sebastian (Sebi) Tauciuc and Piia Moilanen—through their personal introductions below!
Piia Moilanen started at CLIC as Development Manager, ecosystems in the beginning of December:
“I’m Piia, passionate about exploring new technologies, fresh perspectives, and innovative ideas. My expertise is rooted in environmental engineering, a field I first studied at Tampere University of Technology. Later, I broadened my knowledge by earning a Licentiate in Technology and an MBA while advancing my career.
My professional journey has been diverse. I began as an environmental advisor in the food industry and later transitioned to consulting as a project engineer. I then joined Tekes (now Business Finland), where I dedicated nearly 23 years to roles such as funding advisor, program manager, and chief advisor in innovative public procurement. These experiences allowed me to gain expertise in areas like water management, maritime industries, the platform economy, and the circular economy.
Most recently at Business Finland, I focused on developing ecosystem services and fostering stakeholder collaboration. Now, at CLIC Innovation, I’m thrilled to apply my experience to strengthen ecosystems and advance the green transition. One key focus is the #REMHub project, which aims to build resilience in critical mineral supply chains.
Outside of work, I embrace an active outdoor lifestyle with my husband, our four children, and our energetic border collie. This autumn has brought significant changes: my eldest started university and moved out, my 19-year-old is preparing for military service, and my third youngest began an exchange year in Australia.
I always enjoy spending time at our cottage, where I relax by picking berries and working on forestry projects. Walking my dog while listening to audio books is another favorite way to unwind. I also love challenging myself to cycle to work year-round, no matter the weather.”
“I am Iippo Reponen, a university student currently completing my master’s thesis on ESG strategies. I joined CLIC in October as an Ecosystem Development Coordinator and am eager to contribute to CLIC’s growth while advancing the green transition.
My academic and professional background is primarily in business development and strategy. Previously, I served as the CEO of a small company and as a member of the Student Union Council at Turku University.
In my free time, I enjoy a wide range of sports, with gym sessions and badminton being my weekly traditions. I am also an avid reader, particularly interested in history, which complements my passion for cultural travel/ and exploring the wonders of the world.”
“My name is Sebastian Tauciuc (Sebi) and on the 2nd of December I joined CLIC as a ”Development Manager, Business Design”.
On the 3rd and 4th of December I already got to immerse into heavy science and meet tens of very smart people from all over Europe in the REMHub supply resilience project kick-off. Great to hit the ground running!
I come from the design and digital consultancy world – for most of my career I have worked at Futurice, where I have have been in various UX, service design, lean startup, facilitation and project leadership roles, but also in internal roles around social and environmental responsibility.
I am very excited to be joining CLIC and having the opportunity to apply the design approach to some of the most difficult challenges of our times.
In my free time I mostly like to work on my food garden – whether it’s caring for the soil and veggies in the summer or preparing for the growing season and planning the next experiments, during winter.
I also much enjoy being in the nature – during summers we often go hiking in national parks with our two girls and Papillon dog. Finally, I like playing sports if I have the chance and I have picked up basketball again recently after a long break.”
Tiina Husso joined CLIC in October:
“I joined CLIC in October. I am working part-time as an Administrative Coordinator. Alongside this role, I am studying Environmental and Natural Resource Economics at the University of Helsinki.
Before joining CLIC, I spent several years at the Ministry of Justice, where I gained experience in project management. I worked on various projects that promoted cross-border digitalisation.
Outside of work and studies, I enjoy yoga and have recently taken up trail running as a new hobby. While I live in the city-centre in Helsinki, I always try to spend some part of my holidays in my relative’s farm in Eastern Finland. There we spend our time doing fun things like horse riding and in the winter doing sleigh rides.”
