The Nordic Circular Summit 2024, hosted by the Nordic Circular Hotspot and Nordic Innovation, successfully concluded in Helsinki, Finland, and online November 18-19, 2024. This landmark event brought together a diverse group of experts, policymakers, and innovators to discuss and advance circular economy practices in the Nordic region.
As part of the new leadership session, a keynote presentation was delivered by Anna Tenhunen-Lunkka presenting insights on the role of clusters and ecosystems in innovation and driving the circular economy. She emphasized how collaborative clusters can foster innovation, share and therefore enhance resource efficiency, and create sustainable business models. Ecosystems at their best can promote cross-sectoral cooperation and connects with international actors to address systemic challenges By leveraging the collective strengths of various stakeholders, ecosystems can accelerate the transition to a circular economy, promoting sustainable growth and environmental stewardship.
