After Michael Hübner’s presentation, Anssi Paalanen, Ecosystem Lead at Business Finland, talked about the different funding instruments at Business Finland and how companies can benefit from public funding for their RDI projects.
Erkki Ormala, Senior Fellow at Aalto University, shared the learnings on how to successfully manage an ecosystem and newly published “the Good Practice Guide” on managing ecosystems.
The second part of the webinar focused on company experiences as well as research institute’s view on EU projects.
Kenneth Widell, Sr Project Manager at Wärtsilä gave a presentation about the most important factors when picking and choosing funded projects.
After Kenneth Widell’s presentation, Simo Säynevirta from ABB talked about creating impact with Green Electrification, their flagship program.
Simo Säynevirta’s presentation was followed by Hanna Kalliomäki, CSO at Paptic. In her presentation, Hanna shared their development journey, and what role the public funding has played for Paptic in their R&D&I development.
In her presentation, Anna Tenhunen-Lunkka, Senior Scientist and Project Manager at VTT, talked about the benefits of joining Horizon Europe projects and showed some examples of recently acquired EU projects at VTT.
Both sessions were followed by a panel discussion facilitated by Antti-Jussi Tahvanainen from VTT.
