Get to Know Anne-Christine

I am Anne-Christine (Anne), passionate about fostering sustainable solutions and innovations for the benefit of society and the economy. I am a biologist and biochemist by training, holding a PhD from the University of Helsinki. My long career at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd, where I have held various research and management positions since 1987, has given me an excellent background and insight into different technologies and scientific disciplines. I have been actively involved in building strategic networks between RDI, industry, and commerce, and have contributed to Finnish and international science and innovation systems by serving as a member of several High-Level Groups and Boards of Directors.

Today, I am dedicated to advancing the bio- and circular economy for the benefit of society and business. I am eager to contribute to the innovative and crucial work at CLIC, leveraging my extensive knowledge and experience to promote sustainable practices and innovations that address pressing environmental and societal challenges.

Outside of work, I enjoy a variety of activities. Dance, especially classical ballet, has been a part of my life since the age of 4. Today, I practice ballet, flamenco, and baroque dance in my free time. The summer cottage and its utility garden are very dear to my husband and me. During the summer, we practically live there and cultivate our vegetables, berries, and fruits. These hobbies reflect my diverse interests and my appreciation for both nature and the arts.
