New addition to CLIC staff: Meet Nora Berglund!

Nora Berglund started at CLIC as Expert, Circular Economy in September.

I’m excited to step into a new role at CLIC Innovation, working on topics that truly inspire me — circular economy, sustainable agriculture, and bio-based value chains. It’s also a pleasure to reconnect with familiar colleagues from previous collaboration in the EU Horizon project TREASoURcE, where CLIC is a partner.

My academic background is in agricultural and environmental sciences, and I hold a master’s degree from the University of Helsinki, where I graduated from the Environmental Change and Global Sustainability programme. My studies focused on food system sustainability and agroecology.

Before joining CLIC Innovation, I worked as a project manager at MTK in the TREASoURcE project, leading a work package focused on promoting the use of bio-based side and waste streams. I have also worked as a circular economy specialist in international projects related to circular bioeconomy and gained experience in municipal bioeconomy development.

At CLIC Innovation, I work on circular economy initiatives, especially those related to bio-based value chains. I’m motivated by learning, collaboration and multidisciplinary environments, as well as by the opportunity to contribute to a more sustainable and resilient food system. I am particularly passionate about the role of farmers in this transition — I believe that their knowledge, experience and involvement are essential for building a fair and future-proof food system.

Outside of work, I live in Tapiola with my family, including two cats. I spend my free time actively with various hobbies, especially with my Icelandic horse in Vihti. I enjoy being outdoors, whether it’s running or riding along forest trails, and winding down with good food and relaxed evenings with friends.
