DESCRIPTION OF EFEU WORK PACKAGES
WP1 System energy efficiency analysis and optimization
The objective is to develop methods for measuring, analysing and optimising energy efficiency of systems. With a systems approach the most feasible efficiency improvements will be identified and sub-optimization will be avoided. The methods are studied and applied in all research applications of EFEU.
WP2 Integrated energy efficient systems
The technology research of the EFEU program is carried out in WP2. It is focused on the radical improvement of energy efficiency on the application areas of industrial sites, hybrid separation systems and fluid handling systems.
WP3 Energy efficiency services and solutions
New business opportunities related to energy efficiency services are in the focus of WP3, and business models integrated to new technologies will be studied. Design of collaborative organization models for energy efficiency implementation, especially in b-to-b context is an integral part of the research.
WP4 Foresight and dissemination
The objective of foresight is to assess how changes in the business environment will affect the requirements for technology and services. Dissemination activities include cooperation with Motiva and other technology research programs including energy efficiency, sustainability, and green growth as research themes. EFEU program aims to start and keep up critical and unbiased discussion on energy efficiency. An important task in short term is to study the status and future steps of standardisation and regulations related to energy efficiency.
