The theme of the Danish roundtable was Roundtable in Denmark – The journey from research to industry – challenges and opportunities for fractionation technology in the bioeconomy.
In the opening speech, WP leader and CEO of IFAU Karen Hamann told about the interesting history of the Hillerod and New Zealand area. The surroundings used to be the king’s hunting area and nowadays it is a UNESCO world heritage site, which we had pleasure to visit during the evening walk.
During the first day, the future of FRACTION activities, work package presentations with interesting results and discussion of the midterm review results were on the agenda. The project manager Nicole Doelker went through the midterm review results to lead the discussion to actions needed for the last year of the project. The planning of the second project or other future actions will continue. Towards the end of the project, FRACTION will publish articles, present results in conferences, and organize young scientist workshop, to mention a few. We are also looking for other CBE JU funded projects to publish a joint article with.
On the second day, the coming activities were discussed. The findings from the roundtable will be published later. Stay tuned!
The next GA meeting and roundtable will be held in November 2023 in Bilbao, Spain.
